As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission file is in the RTF, DOC, DOCX or ODT format.

Only original texts, hitherto unpublished as well as not submitted for publication in any other journal, can be accepted for publication. The papers submitted undergo a two-stage reviewing procedure in which the anonymity of both the Author and the reviewer is strictly observed.

There are no article processing charges (APC) for authors or article submission.

The Authors are kindly requested to conform to the formats and principles specified below:

  1. Papers are supposed to be prepared upon the template available for download below and saved in the RTF, DOC, DOCX, or ODT format:
  2. The submitted document should include: the author’s/co-authors’ name(s), surname(s), academic affiliation, e-mail address(es) (to be put on the website together with the publication), the paper’s title, an abstract (up to 120 words) and 4-6 keywords. Papers submitted in Polish should contain the information specified above also in English.

  3. Format of the papers: 12-point Times New Roman; 1.5-spaced; standard margins (2,5 cm on all sides); the text in one column; all tables should not fall out of this type area (vertical or horizontal orientation); words should not be divided or hyphenated at the end of a line.

  4. Figures, illustrations, photos, maps, and other graphic materials should be sent separately in JPEG format. The graphic material definition should not be lower than 300 x 500 pixels. The materials should be number-marked in the text (e.g., Fig. 1) and contain the source documentation. If the Author uses the third parties’ graphic materials, their permission for reproducing it must also be enclosed.

  5. Papers can be included in one of the three sections: Theoretical Studies, Research Articles, Perspectives from Practice. The papers’ length should be 10-20 pages in the two former sections, and papers qualified for the Perspectives from Practice section should not exceed ten pages.

  6. Opinions, reviews, and reports should not exceed five pages.

  7. The Authors are kindly requested to provide complete contact data for the editors, including name and surname, correspondence address, e-mail address, and telephone number.

  8. Papers should be anonymous for the reviewers; therefore, the authors should take all the precautions necessary to remove all information that could identify them from the text, footnotes, citations, and bibliography.

  9. All references to the secondary sources (citations) as well as bibliography should follow the APA 7 stylesheet (https://apastyle.apa.org/):

In-text parenthetical citations:

  • The citation should contain the author’s name, the year of publication, and, if needed, page number/range, e.g.: (Boma, 2007, p. 5).

  • If there are two authors, both their names should be put in the citation and separated with &, e.g.: (Boma & Drowska, 2007, pp. 4-6).

  • If there are three or more authors, only the first author’s name should be put in the citation, e.g.: (Boma et al., 2007).

  • The first citation for the publication by a collective/corporate author (e.g., an organization) should contain the author’s full name, its abbreviation and the year of publication, e.g.: (Towarzystwo Wiedzy Powszechnej [TWP], 2012), and the subsequent citations should contain only the abbreviated name and the year of publication, e.g.: (TWP, 2012).

  • The citation for an anonymous work should contain its title and the year of publication, e.g.: (Raport z badań, 2012).

  • If a lead-in phrase in the text contains the author’s name or the title of an anonymous work, the citation should contain only the year of publication, e.g.: …as Boma (2007) suggests..., According to Smith and Jones’s classification (2001)..., As Pedagogy (2012) presents….”

  • If a lead-in phrase in the text contains the name of the collective/corporate author, the first citation should contain its abbreviated name and the year of publication, e.g., created by the Polskie Towarzystwo Naukowe Edukacji Internetowej (PTNEI, 2012), and subsequently, the abbreviated name should be used, and the citation(s) should contain only the year of publication, e.g., in the PTNEI report (2012). If the author’s name does not have an abbreviated version, the citation should contain the year of publication, e.g., Kolegium Nauczycielskie (2011).

ADDITIONAL NOTES

*The phrase "Downloaded," together with the date of access to the online publication, is used in the case of addresses that are or may be updated (the address will direct to other content after some time). Do not end a web address with a full stop.

**In the case of publications with a DOI number, give the full address, not just the number. Do not end the DOI with a full stop.

More examples of publication descriptions can be found at: https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples

Descriptions of publications in the appendices bibliography are listed alphabetically by the first item in the description (usually the author's name, editor, etc.). If more than one work by the same author from the same year appears in the bibliography, they should be listed by title, and the date of publication should be indicated by a letter marker, e.g.:

Azikiwe, H., & Bello, A. (2020a).
Azikiwe, H., & Bello, A. (2020b, 26 March).
Azikiwe, H., & Bello, A. (2020c).

When serializing, do not include "A", "An", "The" at the beginning of titles.

A bibliography manager (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley, Endnote) can be used to create appendix bibliographies and references. Remember to remove bibliographic links from the programme before sending the text to the publisher.

Authors are allowed to use endnotes in order to provide an explanation, a commentary or an interpretation, etc.
The Editorial Board has the right to introduce editing changes in the published papers.
