All the submitted articles will undergo a reviewing procedure in keeping with the recommendations of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Good Practice in Reviewing Procedures):

1. The reviewing procedure consists of two stages: internal reviewing and external reviewing.

2. Internal reviewing is performed by the editors and internal reviewers. The authors whose articles have positive internal reviews can revise their papers, introducing suggested corrections/changes before the second review.

3. External reviewing is performed by two independent reviewers (not affiliated with the author or with the institution in which the research was conducted). The reviewers are specialists in the subject matter covered by the reviewed paper or the research field the paper belongs to. The reviewers are appointed by the Editor-in-Chief. In the case of papers written in English, at least one of the reviewers is affiliated with a foreign institution other than the author’s nationality. The Editorial Board makes sure that there is no conflict of interest between the reviewer and the author/co-authors. The double-blind review model is applied, in which the authors and the reviewers are anonymous, which ensures the reliability and impartiality of reviews.

4. Reviews are submitted in writing in the chart provided by the publisher. Reviews include a straightforward recommendation as to publishing or rejecting a paper.

5. Two positive reviews from external reviewers entail accepting a paper for publication and two negative ones —rejecting it. If the two reviews are divergent, a third reviewer will be appointed whose opinion is binding.

6. When the reviewing procedure is concluded, the author is informed about its results. The author is granted access to the reviews to revise the paper according to the reviewers’ recommendations.

7. Once a year, a list of reviewers from a given calendar year is published on the journal’s website.

8. The reviewing procedure takes approximately six months.

9. If you are interested in publishing a text in a journal, please read the rules in force in each section of the journal and the Guidelines for authors.
